POLITICS OF A SATURDAY NIGHT (Written By GhettoZombie)

Best I not be your god as this
may destroy our bond
I could have been the first deity as your writing reflected
Preferring I be an idol on a pedestal
loathing me if I fall short of your magnanimous expectations.
You might curse me and regret your blessings too extreme sentiments at
any given moment
I prefer sabbaticals from your
moodiness and guile
Do you honor your ancestors? Do you keep a sense of reverence to your roots?
Do you feel a sense of rage? Your
grave has gotten wider
Sometimes lionization is a latent lie as my presence helped you get into
college
I was robbed of experiences on
a number of occasions You stole that which allowed us to bond
Was our friendship a lie? I never felt the possibility of your shifting
love and hatred.
Is where I am a house for your
extreme misgivings of those who disappoint you?
You may have a wife one day, yet prefer whomever I date
I've grown to appreciate my sense
of abundance
while yours merely exists within your ego.

Interesting work, I appreciate it's contents. It was a little bit challenging to read on the white against white parts of the background in some parts though.
