The Silence and the Shade.

Great merciful sea of time,
bring us no more days
beneath asthmatic skies.
Fill our sails with the breath of plague
and rid us of the siren's cry.
Then wash us ashore at the eventide,
so at last we may lay,
in silence, and the shade.

so many ways you work the metaphor of the Ulysses..... this siren's cry..... damn the insanity it instills under gasping skies.... awesome message..... there is a time for silence.... I can hear it on the horizon.
