Pain

By Salum

I look to the stars,
Then glance at my scars,
As I gaze at the sky,
I ask myself why…

Use one pain to numb another…
I then think of my daughter’s mother…
I reach for the knife,
But not to end my life.

I bleed away my sorrows,
And think about tomorrow…
But it’s just another day,
That probably wont go my way…
