My Father

My father,
my hero.
And now,
my guardian angel.

Too early,
you had to spread your angel wings
and leave us here without you,
but with your memories.

You left us behind
but we'll be okay.
We'll make sure your legacy
lives on forever in hearts and minds.

For so long
you were so strong.
Forever you'll be
the fiercest fighter I know.

I hope I can be
half the amazing person
that you always were.
I hope I make you proud.

My guardian angel,
my hero,
my father.
You'll be with me always
