Will I Ever Be Ready?

By ColorMeToxic

Jesus was my Savior
and God gave me life.
I said some day I'd know Him
but I never found the time.

Things are getting dark now
I'm cold, and I'm in pain.
I said my final prayer
as the sky threw down its rain.

Then, I went to Heaven
and stared up at those gates
I got in-line with all the others
waiting for their fates.

God looked in His big name book
my name, He did not find.
He said 'I meant to write it down
but I never found the time'.
