More random thoughts, and stuff.

By ColorMeToxic

You live in a place where,
nothing ever goes wrong.

But I exist  in real life,
and I long to belong.

~~~ ~~~ ~~~
when you're little...
No one bothers to tell you,
that life keeps getting harder;
...and of the pain you'll accrue.
~~~ ~~~ ~~~

It's human nature to be hopeful.
But hope comes in small pieces.
We can never seem to get enough
at once, to truly appease us.

~~~ ~~~ ~~~
Why don't people live to set examples,
rather than living to follow examples?
~~~ ~~~ ~~~

When did it become okay, to fall out of love with your children?
Some even going as far as to kill them
...it happens a lot now and
that bothers me.

~~~ ~~~ ~~~
I wonder if Empathetic people can ever REALLY be happy.
I just get overwhelmed with everybody elses energy.
It surrounds me, and it drowns me.
The most common emotion I feel from the general public...is anger.
~~~ ~~~ ~~~

Oh, What a world we live in.

    Empathetic people might be able to achieve happiness, but often, are forced to become a product of their environment. This is a harsh terrain, for someone of a soft heart, some things you just can't be desensitized to. Honest thoughts, from an honest person, thank you. Scholar

    The fact that it bothers you how people treat their kids shows that you are not like them. You love them too much to do that.

    The difference between leading by example and following - very well said and a good appraisal of the sorry state of affairs we are mired in (or are we just getting older?)

    hi beth, i love how you think out loud, its all so true unfortunetly. all we can do is close our eyes and let it happen i guess! but i think the world needs to start with their children to make a difference in the future. but i dont see that happening, we can only control whats in our hands! you know what i mean! great poem!
