I Forgave You

By ColorMeToxic

You shook my hand
and thanked me for forgiving you. (Even though it killed me)
Chills like ice, shiver
down my spine.

A sick sense of  triumph
washes over me.
At the same time I want to puke,
for you touching me.

Finally, you admitted your wrongs,
but do you really know
what  an impact you made
on my life?

I forgave you, for me
not for you.
the anger was paralyzing
I had to let it go, and push through.

Now, I have to move on with my life.
