Shame
By ColorMeToxic
Broken souls are cast aside,
as broken objects often are.
brace myself, or run and hide,
or wish upon a shooting star.
and I feel shame when I should not.Â
It hurts inside, and won't submit
I plead myself, I am wrought
I need to heal...I can't commit.
Shame is such a strong emotion,
one which runs rampant here.
Self perceived, life form demotion...
wishing we could disappear.

I too feel this way, Beth....for very real reasons, and for no reasons at all.

this falls under the category of loamentation poetry that is always difficult to write but is always flavored with the sense of gripping realities. I hope this was from imagination but if not, I honor your valor and praise the quality of your pen.
