Lazarus Pit
By Alchemist
My experience is nothing new
I'm just splashed
with greens and blues
But merely a shadow to the sun
While
I worry about my sorrow and funds
Everybody knows time is on
the run
And we chase it even though its bullet from gun
Not
a moment to catch the view
Only the momentum of momentos as clues
Death assures us of futility in life
But through curiosity
we have caused strife
Where if not under cold cave light
Shall
we experiment on lives led from blight

Mr. C. - if I may speak for myself to some DP protocol. The serious poets here (there are a few) don't like low scores on the ratings because it drags down their averages. Me I don't care because I'm not a scorekeeper. Nevertheless, it's like "if you can't say nothing good..." So to avoid any porked off poets (or maybe that is the diabolical plan?) Don't give less than a nine. The whole system is rather pointless without verbal critique anyway. Hoping you take this with best intentions because I do enjoy the freshness that you bring, thanks!
