Tongue Tied

By Malice In Wonderland

I've always been
that kinda
awkward
type
lacking in
sweet social graces
I lack the adequate diction
and eloquence to comfort
those in pain
without the.cold sharpened edges
of my wit
definetly more gallows humor
than.rainbows and butterflies
I flee from tears and grasping fingers
but I hurt for those I love
inside
and I hurt myself
with my lack of ability
to wipe their tears
and make things right again
but
just know
I keep
an open ear in my pocket
and my heart
tucked away inside my sleeve
for emergencies
I am
always here
and I love you
to death
inside

so please,
just know
my awkward smile
and the hesitantly uttered
'chin up, I know the feeling'
is my clumsy morse.code
for
I love you
I'm sorry you're going through troubles
and I'm sorry
I am only
text
on a screen
But
I'm always here to hold you
in spirit
no matter how far away

The dark can't last
forever

It may take time and advice you don't want from people you think have no idea what they're talking about, but it will come. Well done for working through inspiration. Scholar
