I won't hold my breath.

By Dreamless

Digging through the remains of thought

Piecing together a Frankenstein perfection

A stitched-up addiction; A B-Movie romance

I'll be your nothing, you can be my everything

If I knew what anything was, you could have it all

Rewind and fast-forward until the tape wears thin

Searching for the right words to say

Analyzing all of my mistakes to repeat them

Memorizing every part, last to first, every line...

Jumbled and mumbled ...Feelings, maybe...

If I could feel anything, I'd rip my heart out for you

I'll carve "I love you" into the walls - Still beating

Just so I could pluck the strings of love and pain

But you'll never understand, because I can't understand

And I can't fucking think straight

The pieces of you all fall apart

I just can't figure out how you go together with me

Perhaps I will just rip and tear my flesh to shreds

Sew my soul to yours and then maybe...

When I tie my veins to yours...

You'll get it;

But I won't hold my breath

Because you're too beautiful to turn blue.

This has a hoplessness to it that rips your heart out. You portray it very well with your words. Nicely done I enjoyed reading

When I read this, it reminded me of a poetry slam poem - it was pieced together very well. The last line threw me off a bit the first time, but it grew on me the second. A great piece of work!
