-sympathetic
By Six-Out
[for the poets]
and those late nights- midnight dances with an old notebook
a pen that screams sanctuary to reality- if only for a bit
and the few scraps of paper. half written lines, never meant for words
thoughts that break/ an empty trace of logic
-listening to the rain. anything to find a little inspiration. just for
tonight.
just for another line. a little more time and another tear to fill one
more page
a few more overused emotions to go along with the pain
and another pen- to replace the one worn down. to tell of just one more
wasted life. just one more.
broken dream- another empty heart once too often shattered
and one more shaking hand to press this page
to tell of another useless moment
this is for you.
for the hopeless- that are never willing to die.
and the broken that will never stop pulling the pieces together
this is for you- and you alone.
for the tears that won't stop. and the rooms that are always too dark.
this is my useless moment- my pen to paper
for you
person to person. and heartache to heartache
from poet.to.poet
[this is for you]

I always come back to your words. You are one of the truest friends I have ever known. I want you to know how much I value that.

Some of the greatest moments are captured in our agony. You are one of the reasons I decided to join this site. You stir the poetry up a notch and you are not afraid to do so. Breathtaking. What more is there?

Your words have become a quiet voice in my own dark room. For the moment I'm not feeling quite so alone - I hope you leave this up. It spoke so much to me.

...this is one of the many examples of freewriting that I so royally suck at doing, yet you make it seem easy...I agree with the others; you should keep it up, not only as a work of brilliance, but as something for those that do need to see it...
