Eons on the Canvas
By Alchemist
The paper always holds the most promise when it's blank
The pen always meets it’s destiny when all the ink has escaped
The
moon always beams most eloquent on those quintessential nights
The
sunshine is always more prosperous on those days most prime
But when
you're inbetween lines like the dusk and the dawn
You must embrace
the sparse elegance of the horizon's brawn
So dance in the rain under
street lights like it's a small town prom
And always kiss your lover
with the passion that the big city has
In it’s square those first
few seconds after New Year's Eve ends

lovely intrinsic flow..the rhyme felt natural and not so premedited which I enjoyed.. I like that you mixed philosophic intent with such familiar and tender images.. but felt new and beautiful arrayed that way.
