Light Show

By Alchemist

Carnal fireworks behind glass are
Insect aurora like a carnival in a jar
Summer’s kami’s of light forlorn
By taskmaster children that mean no harm
Chasing fireflies like meteor shower swarms
Bottling lightning bugs like thunder storms
Hidden messages with the tempo of Las Vegas
A neon ballet in tune with a synchronized cadence
Winged beetle nebulas’ of bioluminescence
Feral rockets with a lime glowing essence
Fleeting auras like shattered chandeliers
Symphonies flickering in clammy night air
Scattered constellations low in nature's care
Confined to be a glittering opera for sparkling stares
Their crescendo suppressed by fleshy bars
Now sentenced to be a light show of grounded stars
Prisoners until they fade to the bright afar

Aww so bright & sweet! I love fireflies. This piece brings out both the human-eye view & from the firefly as well.
