Edison's Rhapsody
By Alchemist
You can not merely write
The word light on paper
And have it brighten the dark
But that paper can hold
The blueprint to the light bulb
The schematic to the circuits
And/or the laws of electricity
But unless enlightened
That
paper will be used as kindle
For only a glimpse of warming light

How many writings have I burned to keep warm through the turbulent winter carnage? Your writes often reveal an earthy intelligence. This is one to ponder on, thank you for the suggestion, though I had read it already. Your words are always welcome. Resides somewhere in my fucked up Gestalt, all this. Burn the papers & maps to cook the rat sausages! It all works out in the end....

Reminds me of the difference between giving a man a fish when he's hungry or teaching him how to fish so he need not ever go hungry. A moments luminosity in the fire or creating something that has the ability to illuminate eternally... Well done Shawn, I've missed reading you and I think this piece is quite finished. Doesn't need to be long to invoke thought or convey ideas ;) - XXOO

cleverly written, man, i enjoyed the artful technicality here and the end makes one feel all warm and fuzzy.
