diva in a bottle

By Malice In Wonderland

the room
is smoke filled
pulsing with music
flowing booze like
fountains
at midnight
bouncing off
social butterfly beauty queens
in dresses
too tight
and hair too coiffed,
lips
too
painted
like
cheap pinked (Im)perfections.
clothes soiled
by
greedy hands
grasping
for slender hips
her
'for sale' sign
brings tears
to
my eyes

Hey I think you tried to message me on my, I bearly caught it was responding to a couple comments as well aand posting my thoughts on some, sorry. Anyhow thought I'd drop by and pay you a visit, and look where I ended up. You captured this environment to the T, it's like a party/bar type deal, smoke filled room was probably the most visual line for me among other things, well done Kya I enjoyed reading this. Thank you so much for sharing, I'm gonna go poem hopping hehe to see what else you've written, thanks again =)

Loved this..."social butterfly beauty queens," great line...not a fan of how it looks, I think it would have read a little better if some of those lines were mashed together, but otherwise nicely done.
