Falling Stars

By Alchemist

Shooting stars never grant wishes
They just die in one's eyes
A moment of sheer bliss
Is the wish's disguise
Now the glimmer is gone
X’s under the gold
War’s Legacy, a signature
Of greed and envy left for the old
Burnt bridges and scorched earth
None so gently left in the cold
Audacity of eternity’s coins
Eternally ruined
No atrocities void
No more paper with runes
