of Mood Rings and a Childhood Memory (Lost)

By Malice In Wonderland

You always liked mood rings.
I remembered that,
Looking through my jewelry the other day.
Gently slipping,
A cold metal circlet,
Upon my finger.
I dreamed.

Just a 50 cent trinket
Ment so much to us
You gave me this
When we were 7.

Unaware...

All the colors...
Turning,
Unfurling,
Believing,
Colors would tell our moods...

Cuz I loved you,
And you loved me...

And of course,
We would marry.
My best friend...
But a childhood memory now lost

10 years passed
And I find
Myself
Praying,
Aching,
To believe
This color
Will prove our love...
Once More....

This guy made a similar comment on my poem of the day and on his profile he says he is a lawyer and teacher but continually makes spelling and punctuation errors. I don't mind constructive criticism but he told me I should rewrite and try next time. And I wont tell you how "good" his poetry is, anyways not to ramble but this guy is a joke and this was a wonderful work hence why it received poem of the day, I only have two questions for this guy have you never heard of free form poetry and how do you not know how to write a haiku when your a damn teacher, that is all, lol.

Poetry is as the poet wills, some are bound by structure as with a straight jacket, others don a different set of clothes as the mood shifts. Scholar

if you were looking for structure, my page isn't a gopd one for you. feel free to look at many other writers who use structure, such as silent stalker or amaryllis. thanks for an unessacery and generic comment ;) Scholar
