I dare to say I love you
To tell you that I care
That if something is hurting you
One call and I'll be there

But everything I offer
Is it just not enough
To keep you from hurting yourself
Or doing crazy stuff?

You cut yourself that morning
And then today again
I cannot fathom how someone
Could do those things my friend

This isn't healthy for me
And surely not for you
I wonder each and every day
What you're about to do

I offered myself to you
And look at what was done
First time in years I'm brought to tears
Worried about someone

I wish that I could help you
But don't know where to start
In every aspect of our lives
We're only worlds apart

But still I will not falter
I'll always feel the same
For now I'll do all that I can
To help you ease your pain

I may not understand it
But that will matter not
I may not have enough to give
But I'll give all I've got
