Friendships like Daisies

By Malice In Wonderland

it's. Sunday
and I'm coming across
like waking limbs again

pins and needles
abrupt
somewhat demanding

I am stubborn
in my.growing.age
clinging to rusted ideals
and.childlike.hope
strung up like theives on crosses

Ironically,
not a huge fan
of martyrdom
I am
massive in my flaws
but trying to.embrace them.all the same

please
understand

change
t e r r I f I e s
me.

so please
understand
my fighting tooth and nail
for my snowglobe palace

because
when I think of it

you're like a favorite book
dogeared and fondly remembered
when not around
but always missed.

please
forgive
me
for

wanting to make sure

you
never
get
taken
away

Beautiful and haunting. Never take your eye off of the prize no matter how out of reach it appears or how many footprints you see leading away from it. Its hard to go through transitions without longing for those dreams or missing the once was. Thank you for sharing.
