when the moon met the sun.

By Star

now as the moon kissed
the sun goodnight.
he said unto her
"don't you cry,
I've gathered your tears
and laid them down around me.
and I've called them stars."
as they shine bright as your eyes,
so, I'm not so alone
in the darkness.

and I'll love you
Until Summer becomes
cold.

To be loved in such a manner... It seems I will ever be envious of the moon. Her tears are gorgeous though, so I must remember to thank her for them. An excellently wrought poem.
