"Once upon a time"

By Ophelia

Isn't that where they always start?
No the day before yesterday or last Thursday.
Our world is so complacent dreams and wishes
fantasies that dance in twilight and sing lullabies.
So let us start again,
 "Once upon a time"
The wind blew a history of poems through my day dreams.
Softly spoken words teasing my imagination with lines so powerful and awe inspiring.
What poets have walked these dark and mysterious halls? Where have they all gone the old souls, the ones reaching and searching for a place to voice their screams in words of inspiration and loss?

Years of works, life times of tears and dreams dancing on clouds of their own ever lasting power.
Making me feel, smile and sometimes cry that deep achy feel good kind of enjoyment that only a poem can cause.

Well this is that place.  I always return, when I need that touch of reality away from life. That whisper of art, stirring my heart with dreams, pain and beauty. A sweet shout of tongue tickling verses swirling around in my mind pulling me back into its dark embrace holding me close. Imaginary caressing my imagination stirring my thoughts in that "Once upon a time" kind of tale from the past.
The whole time staring at me demanding I contribute something for ignoring my hunger and thirst for something filled with emotion and passion for a year or more.....Welcome back stay awhile I will tell you a story "Once upon a time" there was a poet who lost her way....but now she has found her way home.

"The wind blew a history of poems through my day dreams. Softly spoken words teasing my imagination with lines" - I love those lines and can relate exactly. Sometimes there are long stretches where I have nothing that ever really congeals itself into a form I can put onto paper, and sometimes it just flows. I am so very glad to see something has again flowed from your mind and I do hope to see more again from you in the future. Welcome back to the dark halls of your old home! Ciao, T/S Scholar
