Renovating

By Phalanx

Ashes and leaking roofs don't bother
Me so much regarding yesterday.
We could make a home of candle light and familiar smells
As long as we have floor boards that creak.
I understand the echo of calm silence
Where rain drops kiss an interlude and
We stay lost as long as possible.

Make do with what you got. I know this all too well.
