marble.
By soul_versing
Being with him was like,
shoving mixed emotions
in to a tempered glass box.
and when he spoke,
it was like ingesting shareds
of glass.
His body felt cold to the touch
and his eyes fixated elsewhere.
He left me alone
He made me feel alone
My heart bleed his name
on repeat for days
...Then it happened,
my soul rejuvenated itself
and my heart grew content
I found reason to live
and found the courage to find myself
This is it.
I finally found my happy ending,
right?
...Right?
So why did he leave too!?
We're told to be ourselves,
not to change for others,
but to compromise instead.
..
Learning to love yourself
is easy
Learning to let someone go
is hard
..
While I continue to improve myself,
I hope he realizes...
If he can't handle me at my worst,
then he doesn't deserve me at my best.

I know this feeling all too well but we cant choose what others do in the end. No one is "good at love" but you cant blame people for trying. great write xo

One always knows the Tattoo Goddess when she spills her words upon the page, perfectly aligned with just the right amount of caged rage echoing behind words of pain. I always see your sunshine peeking through the rain... I loved this write, one of my favorites for sure. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
