Matrimony in Death

By Malice In Wonderland

I made a mistake

By letting you bring me here
let you tie my hands with your words and my own stupidity
based on the futile hope,
That this could all somehow be real

You drew me in

feet bound by promises
that you could carry me
when I was too weak stand

You ensnared my heart in your hazel eyes
I thought would bring me solace for so long.

but its so cold
underground

So cold.

The dirt here is suffocating
and beauty bound in death is so clinical
I grew frail
in time
buried like the dead and searching for hope in cold marble mausoleums
singing to the earthworms
waiting for your footsteps bearing wine and terror

I never remember
the haze
of the wine lulling me into submissive slumber

Red coursing under snow covered skin
Ivory cold colliding with dirt and moss

You buried me like the dead
the day our life began.

It is never fun when the thing that is supposed to celebrate love Is what keeps you from it. Scholar

This took a breath from me and made me have to catch a few. I'm not certain where this came from but, it certainly hit home. I'm not sure if I should but, I like it.

Until matrimony pulls you apart. You present matrimony under such a grim light... I almost despair.

Very well expressed! I was left with the feeling that I understand being lured into closet full of lies
