Falling Through Space
By BetaWolfinVA
in a downward spiral with food and pills,
some days the world comes crashing in,
and i just try to live
.
i am happiest with my daughter in my arms,
but am lonely most of the time otherwise,
sometimes my wife lets me hold her
.
love is a dance in time
we learn the steps as we go
but some times we stumble

The truth is always the strongest poetry. Let me know if you find that inner happiness. I'm on the search for it as well.

the woman whos mere memory makes me unfaithful (i havn't seen her in ten years, friendly communication is what keeps me alive) doesn't want children needing my family to go to her mothers wake, and asking them, letting my wife know that there was any communication at all has strained my marriage and being unable to fulfill that obligation has unhinged me and turned off the lifeline i was using. my wife feels that foster/adoption was the only way to keep me over the course of the last two years as i became unhinged

Sometimes survival and finding those little things worth living for make a world of difference. Nicely done.

I cannot help but feel your sadness. You express your emotions beautifully. The ending reminds me of that country song, "Life's a Dance" by John Michael Montgomery. Beautiful piece, sir.

interesting... it's actually been years since i heard that one, but that must have been an extremely powerful lyric to stay in my mind that long... i'd actually forgotten the song itself
