To the Flame

By SilentStalker

I watch you as you fight your binds; I stare down in dismay
Those ropes will never let you go until they burn away

You plead with me to set you free; I only light the fire
There's nothing you can do for me to quench my cold desire

You scream as fire hits your feet; I laugh out in delight
The first few moments are the best; I love to see your fright

You're struggling now to loose the ropes that seal your awful fate
Don't waste your strength; there is no hope; it's already too late

The flames quickly rise to your waist; it hurts too bad to cry
Your face is grave; your eyes are hazed; you want to quickly die

You bash your head to dull the pain; you're coughing from the smoke
You try to scream, but all in vain, for all you do is choke

And finally you're struggling stops; you've given up on life
You whimper from the constant pain; you want to end the strife

The ropes suddenly break away; they catch me by surprise
You fall down face first in the flame; red embers pierce your eyes

Your face and hair are caught ablaze; they burn up oh so fast
Your twitching arms cease at your side,  as you scream out your last

I watch until the fire dies; my need still not yet tamed
So now I'm off to find the next, and send her to the flame.

Forgive me, Darun, but I couldn't help but think of all the furniture, bicycles, beer cans/bottle/kegs, and pieces of the gazebo that were sacrificed to the flames of the Camp Eagle BBQ pit, all in the name of drunken debauchery. Man I miss that place...
