Burka

By Malice In Wonderland

blistered
in a sense
I sit back
relishing the dark
and the things that play.

twisted and cruel
there is no beauty
in this place
-or so I'm told
and we are reduced to little more than
dead skin
peeling and dried
grace is only helpful
when the whispers are shortlived

/bloodied and swollen
these stiffened fingers
struggle
with everything

.let alone the thoughts of
descretion

they find only
the hem of my hoodie
pulling it tightly over my face
pale and red
dodging
searchlight staring faces

ever struggling
back
to the dark.

Very sad, how people who have nothing to do with these power hungry fools, are stripped of all their dignity. For what?!
