Untitled (Iambic Pentameter with Rhyming Couplets)
By BetaWolfinVA
When once the dream that
we both had doth pale;
Fidelities blessing must indeed fail.
In
ways small and large, evade fate's grave charge;
Rekindle love or
find it, dreamers urge.
Find love in others eyes, in hope and dreams;
Give her what she craves, she's more than she seems.
-
Perforce,
One must be off with a new love;
Before one incandesces o'er old love
And one must in honor face, that, once lost;
Doth make living ones
life not worth the cost.
But See, one must become a better man;
Else All fair truth be lost beyond all gain.

...it's mostly iambic, but you have the stresses marked reversely...if I were to read it with the bolds stressed, it would actually be Trochaic...and it would sound way weird...I can tear it apart for you, and show you which lines are perfect iambic, and which are not, if you want...but all in all, ignoring the formatting, you nailed most of it...

Ok so iambic is opposite of trochaic... Iambic is trailing syllable of the "foot" is stressed while trochaic is leading syllable is stressed?
