Professing the Little Things
By lupus tenebrae
Robin songs
chattering at standstill,
contrasting low rattles, all for you.
The prism
that’s
arching your smile,
somehow makes all nine devils worth it.
Safe cocoon
emitting its incense,
our silken time slips through
smoky strands.
The embers,
giving way to hazes,
phases,
a semblance, something of us.

With a nearly week long power outage, the silence gave way to many observations, this is a short compilation of them. Glad to be back.Comments on "Professing the Little Things"

Your silence gave way to better poetry than mine, my friend...thanks for thinking in dark for many of us! The storm was a tough time for a lot of us, though I was pretty damn lucky, myself...only three days without power & no trees down that I was attached to...always loving your writes, lupus, another stand-out piece.

Ah, I love it. The little things...will matter most in the end. It's a bonus if you can appreciate them while you're young. :)
