When the Wind Dances across the Sand

By BetaWolfinVA

long into evening
when on the beach me and you
in chairs side by side
when the wind dances across
the sand, time just drifting by
.
will be bring our girl
along the next time when we
travel to see the sea
and follow the salt sea air
into dim depths of the past
.
carpal tunnel hurts
your hand as i cling to it
when i try to hug
my arms hurt and cannot reach
we can still sit in the wind.

This is so profound! You gave me a perfect view of the setting and the person you were reaching out to.. I sense pain, or melancholy. Again, so profound & touching. Btw, thank you for your comment on one of my recent poems. I really appreciate it, coming from an accomplished poet like yourself. (: Solid 10 man!

HHMC - what a whimsical, bit of melancholia; I couldn't be sure if it was virtual or actual until the carpal tunnel hand holding. Hoping all is well - Dan
