A Prism in Cosplay

By lupus tenebrae

You might say I’m
a man of
many
hats;

a xanthous son
unsettled
in the
sky,

a closet door
ajar in
bedroom
light;

and I cosplay
as a skel
-eton
key,

for an amor
-phous colour-
coded
lock;

a prism and
a password
to my
heart,

and one more shade
of morrow
in the
blinds.

    "You might say I’m a man of many hats" - definitely sets the tone for this one. I like this one a lot. Ciao, T/S Scholar

    Wolfie - "shade of marrow" would have meant something entirely different, but for some reason my DP mind was clamoring for it, even though it does not signify the future (unless new blinds) - cheers Dan!

    Funny you should say that, Dan, it was "marrow" originally. I was trying to tie the last stanza to "skeleton key", but I slept on it, and realized that was a terrible idea. Thanks for the read. Scholar
