Healing Dreams (with Rain in the Willows)
By BetaWolfinVA
The wind in moonlight
slow dancing
across the clouds
faded memories
calling calling us to home
wind rushes, calling us home
Whispers windings through the trees
.
sailing over midnight melody
ebbing along beacons signaling silent
summons
leading us, mothlike
into the glow of solace
.
Dreams and hopes that do
wake us from repairing sleep
that
closes our eyes
dreams, letting the future in
trapped us between
sleep and dreams
.
Shackled into cotton sheets
eyes matted with heavy lullabye
slumbertipped
lashes laden with daydream remorse
fluttering futile morse code
.
Dreaming of persons
near and far, that soul deep bond
old lovers,
old friends
all that makes life worth living
leading us back
to ourselves
.
Back into
our screaming (lack) of sanities
caressing the cold
contours of madness
like the lovers
we so long for
.
Memories of loves
that were both shared and not quite
quiet
our daft minds
rebuilding our shattered souls
with gossamer thread
of dreams
.
Stringing along
blown glass hopefuls
would haves and wishes
tasting of regret and apathetic animosity
stone hearted hands reaching
for dead air
and i'm falling short again
.
Listening to my
heart of hearts
wishing that I
was so far from here
in arms of one I still love
despite all my guilt and pain
.
I wonder
if my redemption
will
ever be
at hand
.
should I loose myself
as my integrity
fails
empty, my heart grows
loosing all that I did love
regaining
my self and hope
.
One can only see
so far
through
eyes
this blinded
we can only hope
and grasp
at errant hopefuls
.
Dreaming of those we've left behind
of those we've lost
living with someone we don't want to hurt
but no longer love with all our hearts
.
We can only
watch the chances
drift and float
and wonder
what becomes
of fools
like
us
.
Placing, our hope in
love and dreams that build us up
and help
make us whole
help get us through each dull day
help us all to
stay alive
Author's Note:
My first (intentional) collaboration, was quite fun writing with Rain In the Willows... a bit time consuming transfering from text to DP, but i like the result :)Comments on "Healing Dreams (with Rain in the Willows)"
