Snow Capped Tulips

By lupus tenebrae

Sometimes,
the mistrust in friends
is like splinters
on wooden tulips

and all of
the pre-twilight’s
every unanswered
prayer, sent upon heartbeats.

What more can you say
by the light
of neon courage?
Not much, in sign language.

Through changed venues
I heard you say;

“Let’s talk of games instead,
and snow capped galaxies
far away from here.”

    This was surprisingly captivating. So far in the past for me but so fresh.
