Ever Mine (Revised)

By SilentStalker

This was originally supposed to be a slow R&B-ish type song; the revamp also has the intent of picking up the pace quite a bit, and throws two bridges in, as well as a modified chorus, to even out the song length yet again. And if it isn't obvious, I've been getting all the wrong inspirations yet again.

Original here

You said that time
You're forever mine

And when we met
I won't forget
It was just us
And no regrets
But lustful hearts
Hold dark secrets
The more I see
The worse it gets

You said that time
You're forever mine
But all that time
Were you ever mine?(X2)

And all those guys
And all these lies
And now your voice
Which I despise
Can't stand to look
Into your eyes
My very trust
Was compromised

You said that time
You're forever mine
And all this time
Were you never mine?(X2)

(Bridge)
And girl I knew
What you'd been through
It never changed how I felt for you
And now it's done
Before we've truly begun
How could you say I'm not the only one?

It's history
Don't expect me
To forget this
So easily
So now I'm gone
And you are free
To be the slut
You wished to be

You said that time
You're forever mine
Don't waste my time
You were never mine(X2)

(Bridge2)
I chose to come into your life
I wanted you to be my wife
How could you put me through this strife?
It cuts me girl, just like a knife
Shown you what you wanted to see
Been what you need me to be
Still you got to give it for free
Why didn't you tell this to me?

You said that time
You're forever mine
Don't waste my time
You were never mine(X2)

Who said the inspirations were "wrong"? Inspiration is inspiration, and I enjoyed the thoughts behind this tune. Would love to hear it in full form...
