Coffee with Supergirl

By TropicalSnowstorm

Although she tries to disguise herself, as she drifts up
the street anyone can see this is no regular woman.
She arrives just a bit late, but I’m sure it was only to
save a busload of orphans from a fiery crash...and
besides, a pretty smile can cover a multitude of sins.

She lost control of her superpowers several times, making
Starbucks transform into something extraordinary and
real images of the dreams she spoke of danced behind her.
When we said goodnight, I don’t know if she actually
flew home once out of sight...but I know I did.

The entire piece takes the brush slowly from one corner to another until it is finished in painting a broad smile on my face.

you amaze me with your ability to construct honest words that jump off of the page with sincerity that is hard to find anywhere ever. originality does not exist but when i read you i tend toward believing in the tooth faerie.
