Lanterns, though
weathered,
dare to glint with overcast
light, autumn peering
through open seams; stenciled and
numerous; wrinkles in time.

Aged to perfection (like a fine bottle of wine) those lanterns accent the changing of the seasons well. Although, the flickering glow cannot compete itself to the natural Autumn sky that plays so elegantly through the vibrant leaves. *Astounding read* -applauds and bows
