The Untainted Snow
By lupus tenebrae
Smoke
follows
beauty, much
like how a stray

tainted snow:
as a sober-
ing
thought;
jealous,
of magic,
attached at the
hip.

It is a daunting poem – but we can take consolation from the fact that, by the time we reach the end of this remarkable, powerful poem, lupus has answered it convincingly, for themself at least. This is an acute and insightful poem that lodges in the ear and sear themselves on the vision.
