Choosing between Happiness and Honor

The one who listened
to all her stories and loves
and drama and pain
is now the one needing help
sleeping on the couch lonely
.
wishing, hoping for
blocked messages to come in
choosing self torture
is this honoring marriage
or just torturing my self
.
unable to ask
avoiding shaming my wife
loving as i can
the woman that i married
that never has done me harm

I spent time looking at archived messages from her today, i still miss her, but cannot bear to unblock her, we still stalk each other on twitter, but we more talk past each other there.... perhapse if i was a more evil man i would have married her then..

Marriage takes so much energy, give and take, and an incredible amount of talking, trusting, exposing yourself, opening up, and so much more. Props to others that can do it... :)
