A Moonshade's Brief Repose
By lupus tenebrae
One more brief repose, a moment’s gleam of
low and humming light; that’s all
a moonshade really needs
and maybe an effusive child
to catch its falling petals
then replace them with a timid smile.

This reminds me of when I once called Nae a mushroom, in a comment about her poem concerning being kept in the darkness, as I recall. In this case a young and innocent child was the perfect simile, cheers!

This is one that kind of drops me on my head. I honestly don't know how to respond. I know i've been moved I just can't say for sure how. Although, I enjoyed the curious sensation, thank you. Very nice.
