Awake and stirring
with sleepers in beady eyes
it sniffs the night wind

the starlight; a pallid Braille
languishing for northern lights.

Spectacular glow
screams across infinity
I watch as scars form

born to perform by design
passion ruling .. in their prime...

Boisterous and free
head rocking with the zephyrs
Exodus afoot

and obtuse, in its timbre,
spelling eminence; D-I-V-I-N-E;

clefting rain, tongued low
warring vestige chasms slant
through growling throat troughs.

Muted and guttural scream
Tethered teeth, trachea twined

gauze window shades blow
tattered, soaked, worn, and lightweight
faint recollections.

From the night before terror
and the day of atonement

they say ... a moment
of realization is worth
a thousand prayers ... kneel...

Bow to the enigmatic
lift your head in reverence

sequestering soul
spilling sight, slowly slipping
seething, slanting shift

as near-stygian water
comes anointing in the shade

kneel before the lake
as it settles rests beside
the beach of hard grounds.

Eyes aplenty in the sound
taste knows touch, psychic ripples.

Ripple, jealous bloom;
jettison your pink charade
brace for reentry.

Awaken to the free-fall
bracing for the collision;

bellyflopping hard
parachute is off limits
infinite plummet.

A red mist rain falling down
his out-thrust tongue can taste you

bittersweet footnote,
save for cold, leathery grace,
kneads his nervous heart.

Doughy muscle, sanguine glaze
embolism, heartbreak's reign.

Everything fades dim
shadows cast among our pasts
exsanguinating

Another Fallen Angel
has answered to His calling,

His voice, replete with
a once distant shore of green;
now closer to home.

Within walls, comfort exudes
home is reached, love is abound.
