A Hint of Rust

By lupus tenebrae

I'm senescent
as yellow from another Spring.
I'm senescent
as silver with a rusty hint.
Since antiques write nostalgic things
of me, my brass and empty rings;
I'm senescent.

    Silver gets tarnished, though I understand your meaning, it has no iron to oxidize into rust per se (I'm such a nit-picker). I think inanimate things do feel their age - they break so easily! Cheers Wolfie.
