Christ can carry his own damn
self
He does not need my portage
Rising on the third day was
not his first miracle
I seem to remember that he can walk on water
So, why does he need a Christ-Bearer(opher)
To carry him across
a river.
Others can simply wade across
Paying little heed to
the
Half baked dreams
Encapsulated in this thing called
Religion

Robin Good-Fellow skirls in the hills
On his trusty pan pipe
Balancing man and nature quite well
In the early days before we
convinced our selves we were gods
Not for nothing do we have climate
issues exacerbated

Pier is a diminutive of Peter called "Rock
of the Lord"
Earnestly, I am an unstable
Rock on which to build
a future
Kareening from one Beautiful Mind to the next.
Indecisive
distant offspring much removed in time from
Norman carpet baggers
in Wales - to borrow a phrase from when
States were put into their
place in America

Hah..cool...maybe a Pan reference in there? An allusion to OLD time religion & spirituality? Really liked that stanza. These major religions of today are not what they started as...it's just the slothly nature of man to cast off the responsibilties of being at least decent to each other & the wilderness we supposedly were given to take stewardship of. We're silly lil lazy humans & with our silly lil ways, makes me think we are the spoiled children of the true gods beyond. It's an interesting thought, but that's the difference between spirituality & religion, isn't it? Some well-wrought phrasing here, thanks for the insight.
