That Thanksgiving (is this enjambment?)

By BetaWolfinVA

Slow silence
                  Falls upon the land
As the sun
                  Passes from view

Dreamers spoon
                  Softly wrapped
in lovers arms
                  in this land of dreams

why can I not remember
                  how this felt
when last I held you in my arms
as we drifted off to sleep

I still remember Thanks giving
When you called me to visit
Scared for your mother
                  That was in the hospital

Needing me to shield you
From the dark in your mind
You told me to hold you
Through the night and keep you warm

Having spooned off to sleep
                  In our clothes
with your breast cupped
                  in my hand

That morning I woke
When you bolted out of bed
Seconds before
                  I first met your father

Is it odd that I remember
                  Him telling me that
He was glad about
                  Me being in your life

Spooning with the one you love is the best feeling to go to sleep and wake up to, This is, again, about raven, and happened more years ago than is wise to remember
