There is no Pain in Love

By BetaWolfinVA

You called me doormat
'cause i don't fight punishment
i know i deserve
-
you called me patient
when i told you that i had
lay once with her that
-
is the darkness on
my soul these past 17 years
despite three years play
-
if you want me to
i will fight for you, there is
no need to defend
-
this one from your self
use me, hurt me, hold me, I'll
from others defend
-
once callousness gained
i break ties to earth that binds ...
madness overture
-
i fear no other:
myself, only man i fear,
live only for joy
-
trading away pain
and sorrow for happiness
between twinned souls
-
i would break through your
armor, the fog that you hide
all from yourself in
-
you know all my shame
hopelessness, pain, and sorrow
of yours know little
-
i can guess much more
of your shame pain and sorrow
share with me, halve it
-
thank you for the pain
unlocking my poetry
guiding me to here
-
should you again wish
to hurt me, use me, punish
i await your words

So what if i am a doormat, so what if we are too far apart. I apologize for offending you with what I unthinkingly said.
