From the Skylight

By lupus tenebrae

Falling and shimmering,
some inedible gold leaf
came from the skylight.

The same shining wings
mirror this inner glow
as stranger fiction.

Bidding farewell to
luminescent summer flies
never felt so wrong.

It looked as if it were made of tin foil, but painted gold. My mood picked up upon seeing it.
