Padded Room
By lupus tenebrae
I'm trapped inside, scars within, stuck
behind this door, paying for my sins.
They call this place a haven,
a saving grace.
That's why the look of torment is upon my face.
Inside these walls are others like me.
Some which reality, is something
they will never get to see.
Am I really one of the worst in
society?
How could you expect me to obey, and go quietly?
Sitting
in the corner, rocking steadily back and forth.
In a world where
people are judged only by their worth.
I don't want to stay here,
in this mansion of the insane.
Locked in this cozy closet,
where moving is such a pain.
Cruel forms of punishment, for just
an expression of mind.
In a place built to keep, all of psycho's
kind.

I find myself here yet again to reminisce, on the days of wolfy when my bleddy whistle worked and later on when the tumbleweeds rolled in. I remember those days, when writers block wasn't in my vocabulary. This padded room reminds me of back then, I hope all is well my friend. Ill be seeing you around, take care till then =)

These were they days of tumbleweeds and roadkill, opklot was still alive then too, I only found out about him recently, I had no idea that, he had passed. There's a lot that this piece holds for me, thank you for re-posting it my good friend =)

You know wolfy, I think that this was and still is a fan favorite because our early works is what we come to know each other by, everything builds from there. Maybe that will help make sense of this somewhat. Thanks again.

I think you're right, I was so quick to push these to the back of the pile, not realizing they were the foundation itself. I probably wouldn't have met any of you, were it not for those first wet steps into DP. Perhaps it's not the context of these poems, but a necessary nostalgia that I was too out of touch at the time to see. Where I've come, couldn't have happened without where I used to be.
