They Fall Like Cinders in Orbit
By lupus tenebrae
Satellite debris,
scintillating fire,
leaflets of sermons from the cosmos
foretelling the end in the universe.
Handed down
olden stories
by starlight.
Phoenix
ashes
like sympathy
shall fall in a screaming reentry
likened
to the savage war cries.
An asteroid
still bodes
much worse.
Sullen cinders
are imminent
for space age divining in
foil
and the lunar surmising embroiled.
Habitual stones
are
envious
of lustrium.

Perseid annual meteor shower or perhaps the Russian satellite that re-entered and burned over the Pacific. Really enjoyed the picture painted by your words, especially the first two stanzas, thanks.

Ah, this is cool. It seems like a trinet is almost really a concrete form for a cross. The form is nice, I don't know how well it translates into meter, though. All in all a solid work. +tpu+

How it translates to meter...not well, but that's usually how shape poems are. It's a neat style though, the cross motif sets it apart from the usual diamond shape poems, not that those are bad themselves. I've missed your comments, and they're much appreciated.
