and of this, i make an end (one of my oldest dreams)

By BetaWolfinVA

I am climbing a tree,
wearing black,
and carrying a rifle

i see a sign saying that "This tree is zeroed"
for some reason this does not phase me...

When i reach the best fireing spot
i ignore yet another sign
thinking "this kidnapper telegraphs waaaay too much"

i am in a good fireing position,
looking at the door to a wooden cabin in the mountains

some troopers are below,
sheltered by their vehicles,
they announce their presence

i see through the window
a man and a woman (ten years seperates them),
she is trying to fight him...
at first it looks like she is trying to escape

but they are fighting for control of a rifle,
and he is trying to reach the door with it.

the door opens, i finally get a good look at my target
i see him raise the rifle,
and point it directly at me.

at the tree rather,
he doesn't see me

i see his face....
it is mine

viewpoint shift

i pull the trigger

i curse vehemently as i see a body fall from
the tree that was supposed to be empty
the hail of bullets from the cops at the vehicles
gives me what i wanted.

as i lay dying she screams at me that she doesn't understand
kisses me good bye, the last thing i see are her beautiful green eyes,

and my only regret is the idiot that ignored the signs and turned this into something other than simple CAS/SBC
