Wistful, Mayan Eyes
By lupus tenebrae
The lines of men will fade
in something
of a dream,
then romance in the night
with angels in the cream.
In staring all the way
to MIlky Way and back,
the indigo
seems brighter
when asteroids "attack".
A Nibiru, in hiding,
a somewhere far above,
the phantoms of a glance,
unrequited,
in love
As lyrics in a rhyme
embrace a new demise,
the empathy's in pockets,
of wistful, Mayan eyes.

Author's Note:
I figured with a special date on the horizon, I'd try my hand at Mayan poetry. They apparently had a penchant for lyric poems. This one's in trimeter.Comments on "Wistful, Mayan Eyes"
